OOC Rules

General

    • We will not condone any racist slurs, homophobia, the trolling or berating of fellow members and roleplayers, spamming, nor the discussion of mature content in our chat channels.

    • Refrain from any form of metagaming or god emoting.

    • Respect your fellow roleplayers and do not OOCly disrupt their RP.

    • We discourage the use of items that grow or shrink your character for the purpose of indicating their regular height. This can be conveyed via emotes or add-ons as MRP and TRP instead.

    • The Eye does not condone ERP nor the RP of other questionable themes. Should a member feel obliged to resort to this type of RP they are to refer to private channels. If a member fails to adhere to this rule they will be removed from the guild.

Recruitment

    • Your character must have an OOC name that suits the RP character, preferably their IC first name or surname. Any accents on letters are not an issue.

    • Members may not apply to the guild on a secondary character (alt) until their main character has been an Oathsworn for at least two months.

Activity

If a member is unable to attend events for a longer period of time we expect to be informed via the Absence Announcement Thread on our forum. In case of a more personal issue, members are welcome to reach out to officers directly.

Loyalists

    • Upon joining, Loyalists are expected to attend the next planned Eye campaign.

    • If a Loyalist does not (or barely) attend their first campaign without notice, they will be removed.

    • If a Loyalist is unable to attend their first campaign due to OOC reasons and has notified us, they will be granted a last opportunity to prove their dedication during the next campaign.

    • In case of IC doubt whether the Loyalist fits the Eye after their first campaign, they will be offered a last opportunity to convince their IC superiors during the next campaign.

    • If a Loyalist has been offline for more than 2 weeks, they will be removed.

Oathsworn

    • If an Oathsworn does not (or barely) attend campaign events without notice, they will be demoted to the Loyalist rank.

    • If an Oathsworn has been offline for more than 1 month, they will be removed.

Additional Notes

    • Activity rules do not apply to alts within the Eye unless the alt is still a Loyalist, in which case Loyalist activity rules apply.

    • If your main character is a demon hunter you will join the Eye as a Loyalist and work your way through the ranks. Demon hunter alts of members can opt to join under the Illidari rank, they can hold this rank indefinitely unless they choose to work towards becoming an Oathsworn. Characters with the Illidari rank are not subjected to our activity rules.

    • If someone’s main is removed due to inactivity their alts shall be removed as well.

    • If someone has been removed for inactivity they can choose to reapply to the Eye in the future. Whether they will be accepted back will be determined ICly (and OOCly in case someone was removed for breaking the rules or due to inactivity without notice).

    • In the case that someone is accepted back after having been removed they will return as a Loyalist.

IC Rules

Loyalist Trials

When a new member is accepted into the Eye they will be given the Loyalist rank. During their time as a Loyalist, their skills, ideals and interaction with the rest of our Oathsworn shall be evaluated, primarily by the Eye's Surveyors. Should a Loyalist be found fitting to the Eye, they will be offered the chance to take the Blood Oath. A Loyalist will not be judged until they have participated in at least one of our campaigns (see OOC rules above).

The Blood Oath and Blood Traitors

After a Loyalist takes the Blood Oath they will become one of the Eye's Oathsworn. More details on this process shall be divulged ICly. Once the Oath is taken, it can only be revoked by the Overseer.

When an elf goes against the Blood Oath, their Overseer, and the Eye fully and without remorse, they become Blood Traitors to the Sanguine Eye, quarry to be hunted by its members. If they surrender themselves to the Eye, their fate will be less dire than those who knowingly run from their betrayal.

Loyalist - Rules

    • You will not endanger other Oathsworn or Loyalists, nor jeopardize the Eye's goals.
    • You will acknowledge the presence of a higher ranked member.
    • You are not allowed to dispense any confidential information to those outside our ranks, not even after leaving the Eye.
    • During events you will dress in colors befitting the blood elves: red, gold and darker hues.

Oathsworn - Rules & Privileges

    • You shall adhere to the Blood Oath.
    • You will receive a monthly wage befitting a soldier of the High Kingdom.
    • You are allowed to wear the Eye's tabard.

Failure to adhere to these rules shall lead to IC consequences. They can range from simple warnings and reprimands to forms of magical or physical punishment, the withdrawal of one's wage, demotion, reeducation, removal from the Eye, or being branded a Blood Traitor.
